What does it actually check?+
The container metadata of the file: Content Credentials (C2PA) and AI product names in the encoder and title tags. It does not look at the video frames.
If it finds nothing, is the video real?+
No. Video sites and editing apps re-encode files and strip these marks, so most AI videos you see online carry none. No marks means we have no evidence either way.
Can it spot deepfakes by looking at faces and motion?+
No. That needs heavy models that are not reliable enough for us to show a score. We would rather say what we can and cannot see.
How big can the file be?+
Up to 11 MB, so short clips. Larger files are not accepted yet.
Is my file stored?+
No. It is read in memory and discarded.
